Community Volunteer

One-time volunteer opportunities do not require training and allow individuals to participate in an array of activities throughout the year. Self-directed food, supplies, and shelter needs drives are examples of one-time opportunities.

Are you or your organization interested in a one- time volunteer experience with ATVP? Call (509)-332-0552 or email program.manager@atvp.org to learn more.

Hotline Volunteer

Want to make a positive impact in your community while gaining valuable experience? We are looking for some compassionate, hard-working folks to join our hotline volunteer program!

Crisis Hotline Volunteer opportunities become available twice a year, once in the fall and once in the spring. They are available to community members in Whitman and Latah counties. Those who apply for these positions are asked for a resume, application, two references, undergo federal and state background checks, and participate in 40 Hours of Advocate training.

Our volunteer advocates are essential in providing victims services as they are the first voices survivors hear when calling for help. As a volunteer advocate, you will be asked to commit a minimum of one year of service with ATVP. If you are a passionate, committed, and caring individual, this could be the right opportunity.

Why volunteer with us? Because your efforts can create lasting positive impact, enhance your resume, and help you grow personally and professionally. Whether you’re a seasoned community advocate or new to volunteer work, our flexible schedule ensures you can participate without disrupting your routine.

All volunteers have to complete our mandatory hotline training, once complete volunteers have flexible scheduling and only need to complete 2-3 shifts a month!
