Outreach & Education

Supporting survivors is only part of what we do. Outreach and education are also part of the solution to sexual and domestic violence.

Presentations

Want ATVP to come speak to your class, in your workplace, or at a meeting? Education is a large part of our work! We can offer presentations and trainings on a variety of topics related to our work, which we can tailor to your group’s needs. If you’re interested, call (509)332-4357 or (208)883-4357 or fill out the form at the bottom of the page.

Common topics include:

  • ATVP Services – when should you call us?
  • How to Support Survivors
  • Healthy Relationships
  • Consent and Boundaries
  • How to Recognize Domestic Violence
  • How Can Parents Keep Kids Safe?

We will work with you to make sure we’re meeting the needs of your particular group; we can present for any age group and are happy to adapt our material to your specific needs. We can also do story time and other programming for young children.

Prevention Education

Teaching kids about healthy relationships, communication, and boundaries is an important part of our work! We are pleased to be able to offer a variety of different approaches to prevention education. We have evidence-based curricula and will gladly work with you to adapt them to the specific needs of your classroom, after-school program, or youth group. We can work with any age group. Three sessions or twelve, it’s up to you! Please call or email us to discuss the details of how we can work together.
