Responsibilities:
The Board of Directors is responsible for ensuring that the organization is well-managed and financially healthy and responsible. The Board is the governing body of the organization and is responsible for establishing the mission and goals. The Board sets the organization’s policies which provide the parameters for the agency’s work. Additionally, this working board is responsible for employing and actively participating in effective fundraising strategies.
To ensure that the organization has the financial resources it needs to pursue its goals
To serve as the organization’s representatives in the community.
To make a personal commitment to the mission of the organization.
Terms:
For community members: Terms of office shall be for 3 (three) years, and no Board member shall serve more than 2 (two) consecutive terms.
For students: The terms of the student representative shall be for 1 (one) year, and no student representative shall serve more than 3 (three) consecutive terms.
